What Will you Learn?
Learn how to use Autodesk Fusion 360 to create custom, one-of-a-kind 3-D printed objects for your projects.
Whether you want to design an enclosure for your Arduino gadget, a camera harness for your drone, or a desk hook for your headphones, this course will teach you the necessary skills of 3D design and show you how to create printable designs using computer-aided design software from Autodesk.
This course is concise and practical so that you can get started creating your own designs quickly.
Though a series of 10 projects, you will gradually build up your skills so that you can create increasingly precise and complicated objects.
The real magic in 3D printing happens when you learn the skills needed to design and print custom objects.
This course will help you get there. You will learn how to use Autodesk Fusion 360 to design ten practical and functional products that can be 3D printed. Fusion 360 is free for students and hobbyists and is a powerful computer-aided design (CAD) tool.
The course is project-based, and we encourage you to follow along and create each project object on your computer.
With each project, you will learn how to create more elaborate and useful objects.
Apart from learning how to use Fusion 360, you will also learn about design concepts and best practices when designing for desktop 3D printers.
By the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence to create your own designs and start turning your ideas into physical objects.
This course is designed for beginners. No prior knowledge in 3D design necessary.
A 3D printer is a bonus. If you don't have one, you can use any of many online 3D fabricators, like Shapeways or 3D Hubs.
